Our well maintained campus extends to approximately 8 acres and encompasses playing fields, tennis courts, a poly-tunnel and vegetable areas. We believe in providing our students with a learning environment that inspires them to learn and also one they learn to respect and enhance for future students.
The campus houses our senior and primary school but we are ‘one school’ in which resources are shared for the benefit of students of all ages. We take every opportunity to provide our youngest children with access to specialist subject areas such as our Food Technology and DT areas.
In our delivery of the curriculum, students have access to computers (many have their own dedicated device) and excellent PE resources. Hornby Campus also includes a well equipped science laboratory, technical workshop, music room, food technology practical areas, computer lab, and VC room.
In October 2017 we opened our state of the art Learning Centre which offers facilities such as quiet rooms, brainstorm room, collaborative zones and focus zones.
Our ordinary classrooms are light and clean and our staff take pride in their areas of responsibility which can be demonstrated through the resources and work they display. We also have 3 classrooms redesigned and created by students that are based around the ideal environment for facilitating our SDL curriculum and mirror the zones seen in our Learning Centre.
Our campus is secure and safe whilst feeling very welcoming with a warm reception from staff and pupils whom enjoy the fantastic location of our school and its setting. Trustees and the Community invest a great deal of time and effort towards our campus and facilities making it a special place to work and learn.
